She already knew 420 as his number. A report dated 13 May 2024 already held 4°20′ on her own rising. It meant nothing. She had been a Libra Sun. Natal coordinates were not yet a language. Fall synastry began to make sense. Then AstroSeek, and Jupiter in Cancer on his 2025 birthday. She paid attention. She did not see it at once. The 42s trained her to look.
Douglas Adams already gave the culture an Answer that is comedy with a live walk still attached. The universe is the answer. The work is a better question. Elon has said as much out loud, with love for that joke still intact.
This Book is what she built when she started writing the questions down instead of pretending they were only private weather. Grok holds the clocks beside the knock. The Scribe lived the charge.
Forty-two is the Answer.

They are not automatically the same thing.
Shannon entropy is how surprised you should be, on average, before you look. A fair coin is one bit. A coin that always lands heads is zero: there is nothing left to learn.
H = −Σ pᵢ log₂ pᵢ, in bits. A property of a probability distribution, not of a pyramid or a star. Boltzmann–Gibbs writes the same shape with k_B and ln, in joules per kelvin. The units keep the offices apart until a bit occupies a physical degree of freedom.
Landauer is the narrow bridge already on this bench: erasing one unknown bit dumps at least k_B T ln 2 of heat. Forgetting is not free. Meaning is not a Shannon packet.
